Removal of packages at upgrade from Trisquel 11 to Trisquel 12

I upgraded two computers to Trisquel 12 last week end. It went well but in both cases, it was proposing to remove a list of packages. For the first computer, I accepted, then it removed cifs-utils that was needed for automatic mounting of a samba share from another computer running Trisquel. Then, on the second computer, I said no to the removal, then it also did not do any autoremove. After I ran the autoremove manually, it removed unnecessary packages but not cifs-utils.

Then, I wonder why there is this proposal to remove packages, including packages that were installed by the user.
