Hello, everyone.

Trisquel 12.0 Ecne, based on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Noble Numbat), will be officially released soon.
I don't see this version in the official download section at https://trisquel.info/en/download
I found a section on the website (in the documentation) dedicated to migrating from Ubuntu to Trisquel: https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/migrate-ubuntu-trisquel-without-reinstalling
Am I correct in understanding that this script does not work at the moment? If anyone has been able to migrate from Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Noble Numbat) to
Trisquel 12.0 Ecne https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/ecne using this script, please let me know!

The logic is as follows:

1. If I rent a VPS and it does not have Trisquel, but has Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Noble Numbat), then I can run the script and get Trisquel 12.0 Ecne

2. If I have a Netinstall ISO image, I can ask the VPS provider to download this ISO to install Trisquel 12.0 Ecne using the GUI option.

3. Wish. I would like to see a Netinstall ISO image CLI-edition to configure Trisquel as the user wants using scripts, etc.

Hi, it would be worth giving it a shot in a virtual machine if you can.

VPS providers I've used have had a "BYO" or "custom OS/image" section where you can load whatever ISO you need. Which VPS provider are you using? (or going to use)

I did something like this; I asked the VPS provider if I could have a Trisquel image available so I can install Trisquel on a VPS. The VPS provider asked me for an .iso image of Trisquel. I sent the .iso file, they added Trisquel to the list of operating system I could choose from.

Hi EffingComputer and Staircase,

Thank you very much for your replies and for being so helpful.

I’ve answered my own question) and created (updated) the script; it still needs a bit of tweaking so that it outputs a brief response regarding the cores, but the script is already working well. I’ve made it interactive so that it’s user-friendly and it’s clear what’s happening.
