Horizontal lines at the start of the computer until the login screen.

Hello !

My problem is in the title.

Two things. These lines are ugly and prevent me from having the screen scroll information when I modifice grub.

Hello Caca!

If it's what i think then it seems you have the same problem i had. Follow the guide of jxself's repository at https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/update-linux-libre-kernel . It solved my problem. I hope it solves yours. Best regards.

So if I do this, the kernel is definitely still linux-libre and not just linux, correct?

When I enter this command: "apt-get install linux-libre64 linux-libre64-headers", the result is:

The problem must be on your end because, as you can see, those packages clearly exist:
